We spent today putting this item together. It wasnt really easy. But we finished. One problem is that four of the six drawers do not close flush. Does this mean the platform is not square? Anybody have any suggestions about what do do?
I dont thing I will purchase another storage bed if the drawers do t close.
Good bed for my teen who has too small of a room for a queen but needed leg room. It took a while to put together, but seems sturdy. My only complaint is the the drawers look crooked unless the bed is placed exactly so. Tried to line the bed up with the wall on the non-drawer side, but it has to be a little crooked to make the drawers look straight. Overall good value and the product looks good.
First off you have to understand this is boxed furniture like or . It takes some time to put together and you have tO be careful cause it will break. It is all plywood type material. My mom bought it then decided it was too big for her room so I got it at a discount . But I didnt fully disassemble it and loaded it on a truck to get it home. It was hard to get the drawers to line back up, but it did eventually after some tweaking. If u plan to stay in one place for awhile its a pretty good, but if you move alot I wouldnt recommend it. It wont disassemble and reassemble easily. It will probably break if you do. It hold the bed great though. The grit braces of the headboard (sold seperatly) didnt gO all the way to the floor so it will only fit snug against the wall with the bed against it. I would suggest looking for a rooms to go outlet. They had all kinds of beds, with dressers for under $600. And that stuff will last. All in all its just ok.
This is the best thing I bought in the last 5 years. Space saver. Great price. Not that easy to set it up, but I did it by myself for the short time. Im very satisfied.
After reading some reviews about quality and how difficult it was to assemble, I took the risk and decided to purchase this bed anyway. I was very pleased with what I actually received. The bed is VERY heavy, and solid once assembled. The instructions were very clear, the pre-drilled holes were lined up and all the hardware was included. I actually allowed my 16 year old son to assemble the bed. He only needed minimal help holding pieces still but otherwise, there were no issues.
Pros: The bed is a great height, it was easy to assemble, it is sturdy, the drawers run very smoothly.
Cons: The slats that the bed rests on are exceptionally cheap quality, and bowed (it does not seem to affect the mattress though). The boxes were very heavy and you need a large area to assemble the bed because the pieces are so long. The bottoms of the drawers will not support very much weight.
I wish I could give the bed 4.5 stars instead of only 4. I would take half a star for the quality of the slats. I suppose once the body weight is evenly distributed across all of them, they are ok, but I just wasnt please with bowed and splintered wood.
If you purchase this bed, one tip.. use a power screwdriver. There are MANY many screws, and it will cut your assembly time in half or more.
The bed looks good and drawer works great but I have to test in time to actually see how it performs. Aesthetic wise it looks awesome with the right proportion and perfect size for queen mattress. Customer service is great from the manufacturer as they send the replacement parts when I requested. The shipment comes from Canada so it may take a while which I dont mind waiting. They were kind enough to explain me the custom related time lag which I totally understand and have no complains. The packaging was good considering the weight of the item being shipped.
The few design flaws:
1. The screws for the drawer rails frees itself during assembly- problem could be in the material of the board, may be not enough wood density.
2. The bolts on the side rails are not recessed and thus damaging the drawers every time you close the drawer. Although it is minor but feels bad when you see every time it is happening to your bed.
3. The drawer could have been a little deeper but then you need a bigger room too.
As a resident of a large city I know what its like to live in little more than a closet so when I planned my bedroom in a small apartment I knew that space conservation would be key. This assembly required bed fit the bill perfectly. I purchased the platform storage bed along with
Although this bed was indeed time-consuming to assemble, it has been worth the trouble. Not as well made as I would have hoped, but you get what you pay for with this one. It is as it seems, beautiful, spacious and a nice addition to a bedroom with limited space, or simple one looking to keep things looking sleek. I am happy with the purchase, though I will say, mind the frame work, especially the drawers, they crack and scratch easily.
I have assembled many things in my lifetime. This enterprise genuinely altered my opinion of my capabilities, and never again will I order anything that says assembly required. The product was well protected in the carton. All the parts were included. The instructions were clear, and the hardware pictures fairly accurate. I laid the boards out according to the assembly instructions and began the process of putting it all together.
These boards were heavy, so I felt it would be sturdy enough, but the real problem was the pre-drilled holes and the hardware was off just enough that when I neared the end of getting the base completed, the screw split through the wood.
If you have tools handy, and know how to deal with such problems before they become a disaster, you might have more success. I however, am not such a person, so I sent it back to , and they were excellent in assisting me with the return...except I had to take it somewhere to repack and ship. I wanted my refund, and didnt trust my own packaging at that point, so it was worth the money to have someone else do it. refunded me in a timely manner, and provided me with a shipping label, so the cost really was just to have someone else repack it.
Pros: Materials seemed sturdy, instructions were clear, identifying hardware easy enough.
Return to was a smooth transaction.
Cons: Not a one woman activity. For those of us with no real construction experience, those predrilled holes are REALLY important. People who know how to work with these materials might have a better experience. The only other con: heavy boards-good if you keep it and use it; not so good if you have to haul them somewhere to be packed and shipped back.

I purchased 2 of these beds for my sons. They are working out great. No regrets. Good price and service.
