It wasnt that hard to put together. Just follow the directions and its best if there are two people. We put it together in a couple hours.
Leave a lot of the parts loose so you can adjust and move things around at the end. If the bed isnt perfectly square the drawers can line up a little wonkey.
As soon as we got it all sorted out the drawers ran great and the bed looks amazing. It is really heavy so once its together dont plan to move it too much. We tried to move it a couple inches and a bolt popped out of the particle board. Thats the quality issue, but we knew it was a particle board type of item so that isnt very surprising.
All that being said, we are really glad we got the bed. It gives us so much more storage room in out relatively small condo. The wood color looks expensive as well.

This wont cause major problems, one just has to be sure to sort the pieces before beginning. The bed so far is sturdy, but dont put anything heavy in the drawers! LOTS of parts! This bed isnt too difficult to build, but the drawers are horrible. The bottoms of the drawers are not locked in place by anything, so the bottom slides out and bends. I actually went to Home Depot and bought some angle brackets, small L shaped 2 screw types, and installed 3 on the back of each drawer which hold the bottom panel in place and that solved the problem. Its also a static dust magnet, so be prepared to wipe it down a lot. I wouldnt buy it again because of all the hard work to get in in useable shape.
Im very happy with this bed frame. It has lots of storage and even looks good. There isnt any wobble, which really surprised me. It is mostly comprised of some sort of manufactured wood (particle board, mdf, etc.) but it has the strength of natural woods. I would buy this exact model again, but be warned: Assembly takes much, much longer than theyr claim. The instructions say it should take 1 hr 45 min and 5 min per drawer; 2 hr 45 min total. My husband and I spent about 6 hours putting it together. If you buy this frame allow a full afternoon to assemble your great new bed.

The hardware that came with the bed was a little iffy though... Had alot of bad parts that we couldnt use because they were molded wrong or something. The turn pieces wouldnt lock together correctly is some instances, and in one instance the turn piece decided to twist in the holder spot in the wood and cause the wood to break. Luckly it was fixable. But none the less made the assembly unpleasent...
Also a few of the drawers dont sit flat to the frame when closed... Its like the fronts were warped slightly...
But seriously all in all its a really good looking piece. Im still pleased with it.

Now that it is together, I dont notice any of the scratches. It was well worth the money. I hesitated a long time because of all the poor quality reviews...I wish I had just purchased it right away. It gives us so much more space!! The drawers are not very deep, but we got a lot in it!!
Update: This bed was amazing UNTIL we moved!! We were never able to get it as sturdy as before. The drawers also began to fall apart after a while. We ended up having to get another bed 6 months after our move...GREAT bed the first set up!!
I purchased this bed for my daughter for more storage. Im worn out trying to assemble this bed. Some of the holes didnt line up and the JRN nuts kept falling out. The best thing to do is have some help and plenty of time. Whatever you do dont mess up the assembly of the drawers, if you get those rails wrong......GOOD LUCK trying to correct it. After a very long day of trying to get it assembled in the end my daughter loves it. I think its just okay. Was it worth the hassle NO WAY!
The platform arrived very quickly. The instructions were well laid out and it took an afternoon, at a leisurely pace, to assemble. The assembly was not difficult, just a matter of laying everything out and following the clear directions. The finished platform looks great. The drawers glide easily and seem quite sturdy.
