    Time consuming to assemble

This arrived in four very heavy boxes delivered by UPS. All that stuff arriving with all those parts can be somewhat overwhelming. All the parts were there. Husband and I are in our 60s and this took us the better part of our day to assemble. A power screw driver is a must! The base required getting-up and down from the floor more than what we expected. We had a challenge getting the lock-nut twist things to hold the big support screws for the out-laying frame to align properly. Up until then we were feeling pretty good about the assembly. Drawer assembly went well, but with so many drawers it felt like wed never get them all done. I say that if you do not like devoting pretty much the whole day to the task this is not for you. Patience is definitely a virtue when doing this project because if you rush you will damage the pressed board, over-tighten screws, or assemble wrong and have to redo work. The instructions are easy to follow for such a large project as long as you do them step-by-step. I did this with my hubby and my advise is that this isnt a project for those with relationship issues cause it can make you tired and cranky. Ours looked fine when it was FINALLY done. Some drawers didnt quite slide-in right. They were slightly ascrew and required some adjustment. Probably because we had such a time with the outer frame which will cause a slight mis-alignment. Overall satisfied now that it is done. The bed sits very high. We got it for our 12 Sleep Sensation (memory foam) type mattress. This height will take some getting used to especially since our old bed set very low to the floor. Would we do it over again? NO, just too labor intensive.

    Slates constantly move

When I was searching for a new bed frame I really wanted a captains style frame. I thought it would be useful to have the extra drawers. However Ive since regretted the purchase of this bed frame. 1) The wooden slates are my main issue with this bed frame. They constantly shift out of place and will often have one side come completely loose. They have nubs to hold the slates in place, but this setup completely worthless. They might as well be slotted into a loose metal frame. 2) The items in the drawers constantly get dirty. When ever I would go to pull items out of the drawers they would be covered with dust and hair. This is especially bad because I have a cat. I was completely shocked at how much stuff accumulated on the clothes I put in the drawers. Ive stopped putting anything in them. The frame really feels like it wants a solid board instead of slates or at least a better system for holding the slates in place. I have completely regretting buying this bed frame and after just over a year of use, Im planning on replacing it. Its completely frustrating to wake up in the middle of the night with one side of the bed sagging down.

Well see in one years time...

I chose this item because of the price, color, and size. I assembled this bed thinking that it would be money wasted and end up being fragile, but Im glad I didnt let my objective side influence me. The bed is surprisingly sturdy considering its assembly style (its much the same as end tables and entertainment stand made out of wood.) Storage is an added bonus, and will be used frequently. I almost forgot to mention the most important part...Im a male that weighs roughly 200 pounds. While Im not willing to jump on the bed, I do believe that just sleeping on it wont cause it to break.

    Exactly what I expected!

I dont know if this was hard to put together because my husband put it together when I wasnt home, but as far as looks go and and sturdiness, I am pleased with it. We did put a piece of plywood underneath for extra support.

Ive had this bed for over a year now and I think its awsome my10 yr old son loves it. Bottom of drawers look/are a lil weak so, my husband siliconed the 4 edges on the inside and have never had a problem with them.

    Falling Appart

This product is cheap which I like but you do get what you pay for. The partical boards under the mattress are constantly falling out of place with the littlest movemet. The drawers are handy but only if you put things in there that you dont mind having wood splinters all over. We had clothes in the drawers untill my boyfriend got a huge splinter in his back that was stuck in his shirt from the wood falling apart. Spend the extra money and get something nicer.

    Great Bed for a budget

I purchased this bed frame almost 2 years ago. The assembly took a long time. Much similar to the frustration of putting together furniture. Obvisiously the make up of this frame is composite, so its not the best quality. However, 2 years later it still looks great, drawers still function properly, and the frame itself has held up well with my memory foam mattress. For the money, I think its worth it.

great bed but missing pieces and no answers from !!

The bed is great and from what I saw not very difficult to put together the main problem is that there were missing pieces for two of the droors and when I emailed I didnt get a response at all!! Very frustrating because we like the bed but cant use the last two droors.

    Captn Bed

I would keep this bed on carpet, not too good for hardwood floors, if you have hardwood in your bedroom, use a large rug underneath it. It will prevent it from sliding and rocking. Be sure the two metal cross bars are installed and tight, they do he most to stabilize the bed. Drawers are roomy but a little cheaply made, so far so good though (had it for 1 year) with no issues.

    Feels solid.

I purchased this frame since we recently bought a new king memory foam mattress. Packages arrived intact with no scratches or dents. HEAVY! If you have a small room it might be tight to assemble. Instructions were straight forward and to the point, I had the basic frame built in 45 minutes. Be careful screwing down the T-Spacers because the plastic can crack...other than that it assembled fairly easy. Once assembled the bed feels sturdy. Looks high end if you include the headboard. So far I am happy with my purchase. Only time will tell if it holds up if you know what I am saying
