True Story: I actually found this bed scrolling through my phone while a furniture salesman was attempting to sell us a bed priced at $1100 with delayed $50 shipping because they were out of stock and needed to call their main warehouse. Plus, I KIND OF liked the bed they were selling and I wasnt completely sold on it. But just as any spoiled millennial, I acrolled right over to my app for a better deal.
I found this bed that I just adore for a fraction of the cost with 2/Day Prime shipping. What?! So, needless to say I kindly declined the sale pitch and ordered this bed over dinner. Once it arrived, I realized that I underestimated the weight because this joker was heavy! Its was delivered while I was working and I waited until my husband got home to move it because Im not quite in cross fit shape. So, be prepared.
If youre considering a simple, sturdy bed that looks great with almost any decor... GET THIS!
You might need two people to bring it inside. Easily assembled by one person. Not complicated at all. I love it. Its beautiful. It doesnt rock. It doesnt squeak. It doesnt have a smell. Its a great bed.
Weve had this king size bedframe for 3 months now and each time I walk into the room, Im so happy to see it! Its beautiful! The grey color and fabric is aweseome, and I spent about 2 weeks religiuosly reading reviews online on hundreds of bedframes. Im very pleased with my selection, and so if my boyfriend.
Only two minor dings:
1. The headboard doesnt go quite as high up as I thought (we also have 4 pillows in the way), but thats not a huge deal
2. There is not much room underneath for storing bins and such (previous reviews did mention this, so I knew that). Im in the process of looking for bins that are shorter in height to fit under for more storage.
Love this bed frame super easy to put together took less than 45 mins. I would recommend using with a 10 mattress, I have a 13 mattress and it covers up a little more of the headboard than I wanted but still love it

It went together incredibly easily, and I didnt feel that any part was under made or not well finished. The fabric is soft yet seems very tough, and everything is well padded. The velcro slats are genious!
Also kudos to how well packaged everything is. For a king sized bed, there was very little garbage. A couple foam blocks and a few thin bags the parts were wrapped in. It does come in a large cardboard box for sure, but as a person that doesnt have garbage service, I appreciate how little I had to throw away, and could recycle the cardboard easily.
I originally ordered the standard steel base, but when that had an odd shipping delay, I said Ill pull the trigger on this model as I had been eyeing it. For a moderate additional spend, I feel as I got way more for my money. Once you get it, I think youll agree. This is something that I would have drooled over at a fancy mattress store, and paid double for.
I paired this with the 12 gel memory foam mattress and its just the most heavenly thing to go to bed in. The 12 mattress height does eat up some of the visible headboard, which is a small bummer, but its still wonderful to prop up against, and frames the bed nicely.
We now own two of these Dachelle platform beds. We bought the Full/size version in 2017 and the King size in February 2021. While we havent placed a mattress on the king/size one yet, the build quality seems just as solid as it did in 2017. Here are a few things to know if you are considering this bed:
(1) Its heavy: The King Size version weighs 123.9 lbs, according to the shipping label. While that isnt terrible, the box size makes it challenging to move. I was able to drag it into my garage, open the box and take each part up to the second floor of our house by myself.
(2) Excellent engineering: All of the parts fit together perfectly. The screws were solid, and the screw holes all aligned. The only unknown for me was how much I should tighten each screw. They included a spare of each size.
(3) Clear instructions: As mentioned in other reviews, is Ikea/like in its assembly approach. The instructions include about ten diagrams and just a few words to help guide the install. Notwithstanding a trip to Home Depot (which I seem to have to do with every project), I completed it in about an hour.
(4) Decent slats: The slats have a good amount of upward and downward movement. I expected them to be stiffer and thought the slats would be spaced evenly over the length of the bed, but theres a gap halfway between the two sections. Not sure if this will have any impact on stability.
(5) Tools included: I was surprised to see they now include a mini ratchet tool along with the Allen wrench, which makes tightening the screws easier. That said, I was never sure if I was tightening the screws too much or not enough. It would have been nice if there was guidance on this (but I may have missed it).
(6) Binding Arbitration: One of the leaflets indicates that you agree to binding arbitration if you do nothing. However, there is an option to opt/out. If you do so, be sure to follow the opt/out instructions carefully.
Overall, I am once again delighted with this bed and look forward to many years of use. As I write this, we are still waiting for our new mattress to arrive, so Ill update it again as time goes by.
Just an impressive bed frame. Great design. Very innovative. Easy to set up. Not very tall, so a 14 inch mattress hides a bit of the head board. But its fantastic! Why would anyone buy a box spring?
