Where is when you need them? I would have given this cabinet 5 stars had it not been for the lousy instructions. Weve put together quite a few items from over the years and never had any problems even though were not particularly handy but the instructions for this cabinet were grossly inadequate. Once assembled, the cabinet looks quite nice and seems sturdy.
My version: Single unit, with solid s.
First thing to note is this is smaller than you may initially think just looking at the picture. Be sure to check the dimensions of the cabinet to make sure it will meet your size requirements before buying.
My cabinet arrived in very good condition, and is packaged well to reasonably ensure it will arrive in tact. If yours arrives damaged through the packaging material from the outside, it is more than likely the fault of the shipping company, not the manufacture.
It was easy to put together, and the instructions were sufficient. My only critique here is they could have made it more expressly clear which way to face the side panels in the first step. Make sure you leave the slight indentations all to the back or rear of the cabinet, as these all serve as a slot to help hold the thin backing in place during assembly. Though if you are taking your time and paying attention this will more than likely not be an issue.
The quality is actually better than I expected. Very solid cabinet for 44 lbs. Though I would not recommend setting anything medium to heavy on top of the cabinet, especially in the middle, as it may bind the s and prevent them from working properly.
The finish is quite nice, and mine had no dents, scratches, or discernible markings from the manufacture or transit. Very happy with it, as it is everything is was advertised to be, and was actually nicer than I was expecting. Would highly recommend, just pay attention to the dimensions.
Purchased this after a horrible experience with Closetmiad product. Very good quality and easy to assemble, great directions. Sidebar; avoid Closetmaid, they dont back their cheap, breakable, product.
Its assembly did not take unreasonable time and was quite mechanical. One did well to follow printed directions. It looks quite presentable and is useful.
I bought this to use as a hutch for my grandmas china. Product arrived fast and was pretty easy to put together. The directions were just pictures, once you figure it out which way the pieces need to go its not bad at all. I was able to assemble it all by myself. One full row of the predrilled holes in the backboard was too close to the edge which caused cracking, but once you put the top on you cant tell. (This caused it to be slightly off in one corner but its very minimal). I bought contact paper to put on the windows. Overall very pleased and would buy again!
