This is not high end furniture, but it is solid looking and feeling, and was very simple to assemble. Have only had it for a few days, so cant yet vouch for its longevity.
This is a very pretty little bench (and it is little). Its definitely not made of the most quality products. My husband usually puts things together for me, but I decided to do this one. It wasnt too difficult, but the pieces dont fit together very well. The wood screws are too short, so it doesnt hold very well. I sat on it (185 lbs) but didnt feel very secure. The baskets are very scratchyI plan to put felt on the bottom of the baskets so they dont scratch the wood all up. It suits its purpose for what it is and for the price. I am mostly happy with it.
This product is very sturdy and easy to put together. I am a stay-at-home mother of 4 and I put it together by myself while my little ones were sleeping. I love the color and design. There is one thing that I would change. The baskets are very hard and will scratch the wood when you slide them out and put them back. I had to buy a pad to put under it to keep them from scratching the bottom. I am debating on buying several canvas baskets to replace the ones that it came with. So I am disappointed with the baskets, but overall the product is great!
I am happy that I purchased this bench, it has what I want 1.) a sitting spot 2.) large bottom open area to fit tall shoes or I can double stack them 3.) top rack for shoes I wear every day 3.) sturdy and not wobble 3.) dark color to easily match. The bench as a whole looks really good, sure it can be made with better quality wood, but then again it would be really heavy and cost a lot. Overall, I think the quality is good enough and serve its purpose well.
this bench looks great in our entry way. it cleaned up the shoe mess and made it look more organized right away. only complaint- we wont sit on it.. it doesnt seem like its strong enough to hold our weight. im a bigger guy but my wife is 170 and she still isnt comfortable sitting on it. might go to home depot and reinforce the bench. we got it so we could sit and put our shoes onand dont feel comfortable doing that. its nice to put our 2 year old daughter on the bench to put her shoes on, instead of taking her out of the entry way- taking her to the couch, putting the shoes on just to leave. it was pretty easy to put it together though.
I searched for this type of entryway bench all over the web and got a good deal with this piece, however, its not as sturdy as it should be. Looks good and serves the purpose, but the baskets are really small for shoes and will only hold very small sizes. Wished I had measured shoes before ordering! I agree with a previous comment that two somewhat larger baskets would have been better than the three smaller ones. Overall construction is adequate as long as adults arent the ones sitting on it. I have built furniture and the design is not as strong as it really should be. It did ship well and assembled easily. Colors are accurate. Overall pretty good value, but if you want something thats going to stand up to the rough treatment of kids, go with something a little more expensive and made from more solid materials.

This item even exceeded my expectations in its attractiveness, as it looks like other benches youd pay $400 for. The baskets are particularly nice and measure 9 1/2 x 10 1/2 on the inside, so as one reviewer mentioned they will not fit size 11+ shoes, but I dont mind we put my size 11 shoes on the shelf. One thing I didnt realize is that the shelf can be shifted from a low to high position, so you can have baskets low (like photo) or above the shelf, which is nice. Also easy to install. The only issue I had was that 2 of the screws stripped, and I wasnt evening tightening them that hard. Should this happen to you, there is plenty of room to reinforce it with additional screws from the inside that will be out of sight, and youll be fine. Nevertheless I had to knock off a star. Buy it, youll love this bench.
I received this bench about a year ago and it is exactly what I needed. I got it to go under a large low window in my living room and it fits perfectly, the baskets are just the right size and the color matches the rest of my furniture. The three baskets are for my husband and I to share, he got twohe can use them for the junk he likes to bring home and pile up (now Im happy and the clutter is gone). The other I use for the cats brushes, combs or whatever. The shelf is perfect to stack some local history books on or whatever strikes my fancy. I havent looked into a cushion for the top, will possibly make one someday, for now I just use it as an extra table top with a couple of things on it (no clutter!). Ive had lots of compliments and would buy it again in a heartbeat
I needed a piece of furniture (not shelves or TV cabinet, as I have a tower TV) to put my cable box and DVD/VCR in and still be able to use the remote. This worked perfectly. The baskets are a great place to store movies, CDs, and video games. My VCR/DVD combo and cable box fit on the shelf with an inch or two to spare. The bench supports up to 200 pounds, so not real practical as a 2-seater, but it is a beautiful piece and quite sturdy. The product detail does not reveal the shelf can be lowered so the baskets can be placed toward the top of the open cabinet, but there are notches to do sonice flexibility! If I could give this 10 stars, this furniture deserves it.
For a $100 you get what you pay for. Its a sturdy bench and just what we wanted but the other reviews were right how there are more than a few nicks and cracks that obviously were sent that way. It looks as if they were like painted over with the stain but they arent extremely noticeable and I didnt want to go through the hassle of sending it back. But all in all it is a good, sturdy bench and the wood quality is nice.
