For the most part a very nice piece of furniture. Unfortunately, I had some scratches (easily covered with marker) but two indents (a bit concerned, just knowing they are there is going to bother me) on the wood but you really don't notice it until you put it together, then is it worth it to break down and ship it back? Considering I have 2 kids, a dog and cat, I'll leave as is.:-) I just wish with my money I didn't get furniture with deep indents on the wood.
On the flip side, the fireplace is awesome, blows out heat (which bumped it up to 4 stars, based on the wood, 3 stars of quality.
After put together, it does comes together nicely and a solid piece.

I originally purchased this for my fiance to have an additional heater in our apartment and as a tv console for our 55Samsung. This is one of the best purchases I have ever made while on . The quality is amazing at this price point and it really stands out as the centerpiece of our living room. It usually becomes the topic of conversation when we have people over and they inquire where we purchased it from.
Initially, I do have to admit that I was a little skeptical about the heating function on the fireplace. However, I was completely wrong. The heater is both powerful and energy efficient. Actually, this past winter we didn't even utilize the heater in our apartment and ran this and a small bedroom heater to heat 1400 sq feet without a problem.
The only downside is the initial construction of the product. I think it took around 2-3 hours to actually build the entire thing, though to be fair, I wasn't using a screw gun.
If you're looking for a heater that can be a fine piece of furniture in your household, think of giving this product a try. We both have absolutely loved it in our apartment and it was more than worth the price.
Solid entertainment center. Took exactly two hours to install by myself with no power tools. The reason it didn't get five stars was due to some marks on the wood finish. I'd still buy again if I had to and I have no regrets that I made this purchase.
Great stand with fire/heater. There was a minor crack along the entire bottom front edge. It is from stretching the wood grain vinyl over the curved edge. It was only noticeable up close.
4 stars as the cabinet door hinges if they are not perfectly adjusted the cabinet doors will not shut correctly. One of my doors no matter how I adjust the screw tension still rubs on the bottom. The flames look nice, I wish there was a remote to turn on the flames!
Everyone in my family, has an electric fireplaces; all different styles, and brands, but the flames on this one, is far above the rest. Very true to the real thing!
