So far so good...
For the money I wasnt expecting much... but then again I dont need much. I am using the cabinet for a part-time job and it may be opened less than 20 times per week. No need to spend a couple hundred dollars if I can help it. This is where s reviews are so helpful. So far i can see why this item has so many positive reviews.
First impression was that the cabinet is kind of light so I was a little worried about durability. I do not agree with others that the handles were hard to put on... they were somewhat easy imo.
What has really impressed me is the smooth glide action of the drawers. I have both drawers filled and they do not get stuck nor feel like they will fall off the tracks. What a pleasant surprise for an item $60. Secondly I like to use the hanging folders and they work fine in these drawers. No problems yet with any folders slipping down.
All in all this cabinet is a deal. Again, I am using it sparingly as compared to a full time office environment. The only question I have is durability and longevity. Only time will tell. I will certainly post back if I encounter any problems.
For me, it works well for what I need. I just need a place to store all my paperwork so when Im looking for the original amount for which Cox Cable started originally swindling me, I dont have to dig through five years worth of mail.
I know some of the reviews complain that it falls over when they pull the full drawers out, it falls over if theres nothing on top of it. Well, no kidding. Why would you expect it not to?
Anyway, its super light yet strong enough to hold all my paperwork and the drawer operate smoothly.
its a very nice filing cabinet just what was needed. But the drawer on the bottom has a lock and no key was sent with it. we have no way to lock it or if it somehow gets locked, no way to open it.
Manage your expectations - this is light weight, lock is not super robust. For the price though youre basically paying for the metal and theres not a lot.
It is annoying that the drawers leave 5 inches or so difficult to access
Ive had this for over a year and it holds my socks and ginch just fine. Easy to put together, the sliders are still fine, and Im guessing that it will easily handle this years Christmas donation from my parents.
Be warned: since it is built out of particle board, it is very, and I mean very, heavy. It is easy to put together, though, and it slides very smoothly on the gliders. It was too heave for the closet shelf, so I simply use it on the floor.
Love the color. Not too hard to assemble it took me about half an hour to put together and the only thing I would say is be careful with the small nails that go on the back, make sure they are centered or they would come off to the side and chip the finish like it happened to me. Also the side screws that hold the slides dont really screw into anything so the drawers are off and theres nothing attached to it to secure them. I tried everything and nothing. thats the only bummer.

Just put a little bit of weight on top of it. It works well.

The keys for the lock are missing

Great filing cabinet for exactly what I need
Great filing cabinet for exactly what I need. If I had to give a criticism, the handles were a little tough to put on.
Very heavy

Good enough for the price.

Perfect size, right height.
Perfect size; use it every day. Important addition. It can be placed near recliner and the top used for coffee, etc.
