Grabbed these for hunting and fishing in the fall. Theyre pretty good for the price, but definitely wont be sufficient once it gets cooler.
Pros
/cheap solution for waders
/easy to put on
/flexible material
/lightweight
Cons
/no foot support, theyre pretty flimsy and dont have any ankle support
/not super warm
These are not your heavy duty, wade through a stick marsh for ducks kind of waders. These are good if you are goin to use them in places where the material is unlikely to get snagged and ripped on something. If you are just walking a river or are on the beach, these are just fine, but i wouldnt take em into the swamp.
These have worked well and kept me dry. They have a chemical smell but it doesnt bother me. They are light weight and if the water is cold wear sweat pants and 2 pair of heavy socks.
I use my waders a couple days a year for duck hunting and launching my boat if its cold and the water is deep. Thats it. For duck hunting, they get a ton of walking in them, no sitting and waiting.
I ordered 13s, the waders said 11 on the boot, but fit perfectly with my thick socks. Someone must not know how to count, because I cant fit in size 11 shoes. Box it came in was nice, smell wasnt too bad, but there were misspellings all over the box. Not overly impressive. The boots themselves are uncomfortable and firm on the sole, the waders are tight on me when bending or flexing (200 lb, fit male, with big legs), but the seams never tore. After wearing them for 8 hours straight, in and out of ponds and cattails all day, there was condensation/water ooze on the inside, but no leaks. These are not insulated and you do feel the water temperature. Ill probably add some seam sealer in the future .
Overall, great value for a usable pair of waders. Hope they hold up for a couple more years!
I hunted two full duck seasons in south Florida and 3 fishing seasons before the just got a leak. For 40 I couldnt have asked for more. If anyones ever hunted early season in south Florida you know it can be brutally hot and honestly it was but these did an aming job and never leaked until this season if your on a budget these are great they were just cool enough to want to wear and I couldnt have asked for any better.
