We received our bed on Friday and my husband and I put it together on Saturday. I'm very please with the sturdiness and quality of these beds. They are structurally sound and attractive. I rarely write a review but just had to say how please I was with this product for the amount it cost. Great deal!
This bed is unlike any other bunk beds I have had in the past. It is sturdy & well built. The large wood beam across the bottom of top bunk (gives me peace of mind) My cousin actually had the bed so I was lucky enough to see it before I purchased it. I wasn’t exactly expecting four very heavy boxes to arrive at my door & not a single scratch or dent in the box! Very impressed with quality of this bed. Putting together was no easy task but each box comes with own directions for that part and I liked that bc I was able to stay on track. Plus I can also use the beds separately if we wanted to. I decided to get the trundle bed so it’s like having 3 beds in one, and we are so happy with our purchase. Thank you!!
Great sturdy bed for our twins. They love it so much. Love that it is strong enough for my wife and I to get in it with them for reading books or playing. Also like that it’s not too tall.
Great storage, easy directions to follow, sturdy. I’m a 230lb dad and it holds me just fine. Stairs make it easy to get up and down. Easy made from right to left stairs.
I ended up ordering a second one after seeing how well this bed worked out for my two teenage boys. We love these beds! After a complete failure with a new IKEA bed, I had to accept that we've outgrown the cheap furniture and it was time to invest in something that could handle adult weight with kid activity. I love the storage stairway option since we have very limited space, and the kids don't like climbing ladders now that they're older. This bed is comfortable, sturdy, airy, and the fresh wood smell that lingers for months afterwards is a major plus! I opted not to use the trundles (I needed the slats for extra reinforcement of the upper bunks), so we also have about 12" of space underneath, allowing us to store a lot of stuff and access it easily. Putting the beds together was hard work and frustrating at times, but well worth the effort.
I was a little nervous buying such an expensive piece of furniture sight unseen but the reviews swayed me and I decided to try it and I am so glad I did! The quality is super good and this bed should last my boys for the rest of their childhood if not adulthood! I am 5'5 and 120 lbs and assembled the bed myself. I am not going to lie -it was a challenge and would have been a bit easier with a drill, but I only had a screwdriver. The only think I needed help with was putting the top bunk on top of the bottom bunk. Total time it took was at least 8 hours by myself. Again, I am not very strong so it might be easier and less time consuming for others. I have paid more for single beds that are built so much more cheaply with particle board. This bed is solid! I do not think (as others have reviewed) that there isn't enough space between the bottom and top bunks. I purchased a thinner mattress (that recommended -6") and it fits perfect with plenty of room for my toddler to play about his bed. My kids ran around screaming "this is the best day of my life!" because they are so excited about this bed. Couldn't be happier!
