Pretty easy to assemble/ took me about 3 hrs alone. Seems sturdy. Arrived without damage, unlike some other reviews. I appreciated it came with spare hardware and a checklist. Directions were clear. Only complaint is that the edges on the top rail corners are sharp, causing some problems with my son getting hurt getting off the top bunk. I will get some padding and hopefully thatll fix it. We used an 8 inch mattress on top and 12 on the bottom(already had this mattress). Bottom has enough headspace, although my kids are just 6 so this may change in the future. Good purchase! Good for low/slanted ceilings. Fantastic Size.
