If youre thinking about getting this futon and are on the fence for any reason I highly suggest you go for it. This is probably the closest thing to a couch you can get with it still being a futon. It is very firm but still comfortable and looks amazing. (I got the dark green). I would definitely recommend a second person to help assemble. The armrests come in a pouch under the futon which I use to store a mattress pad and clean sheets for when guests come over. Honestly have no complaints about this.
