Was just looking to have some containers to store gas long term in case of another gas shortage. These fit the bill nicely. Very study. VERY heavy, especially after having filled them up. I did the smell test. Filled up two containers, put them in the back seat and drove home. There was a lot of sloshing and bumps and turns, but I never smelled anything. When I got home, I opened them up and you can hear the air whoosh as the airtight seal disengages. I wish they were a little less expensive, but I imagine that is just the cost of things and Im being overly cheap. I wanted to get these first and fill them. Based on some of the reviews I was concerned, but I am satisfied that the negative reviews are just anomalies. I had ONE minor defect. One of the safety pins was bent slightly which made it very difficult to pull out so I could open it. But I was able to get it eventually and I can live with it. The other container was just fine. I plan on getting a couple more so I have 4 on hand.
