I had the same couch for 19 years, so this was a big deal. I read reviews for a year before deciding on this couch. I with that I had understood the leather better. you do have to be careful about spilling, oil and such, and with three teenagers it can be nerve racking. Aniline leather is soft, and develops over time with wear, but it also soaks up anything that comes in contact with it. I rubbed something on it for this type of leather, but you have to keep doing it. Also, kept updating the tracking on the day of delivery with the wrong information. First they said the delivery company tried to call and i didnt answer so they would try again the next business day. then they updated a couple of hours later saying they had come to my house and I was there so they would try again another day. I knew nobody had called or come by so I was pissed. I called the delivery company both times and they said they didnt have anything in their system about either. They showed up that day. I tipped the guys each $20 because it was super heavy and they actually carried it up my stairs.
