This thing was a job to put together. One of the slats are bigger than the rest and took some doing to get it to fit in there. It fits pretty snug. Its also not that high up off the floor. Im 57.5 and with just the mattress on the frame I had trouble getting up. It was like my knees were Almost in my chest when I tried to get out of bed. You will need your box spring. Easy to set up.
