We got this bed in a bundle with the king storage headboard in attempt to rid our bedroom of all extraneous furniture. Well, the headboard is very front-heavy, and you need to attach the bedframe to it for stability. So, I line them up -- and the bed is 1 too wide! So this great bed set that I spent -- 700 or so dollars on? -- needs hacksaw and dremel work to make it stable. I have the injuries to show what happens if you dont attach the headboard properly.
If you are getting JUST the bed, its a pretty good bed. The wooden slats arent all flat (have persistent bends), which makes assembly difficult (you dont just lay the slats on top like other beds). Some of the drawers dont end up flush against the bed, and no amount of tweaking seems to fix it. And to tweak? Well, you pretty much have to take the bed apart (a 2-hour ordeal to see if you can adjust a drawer caster -- just to adjust it and find it makes no difference).
Other than that, its pretty solid.
NOT COMPATIBLE with king headboard
