Just a heads up, I did not realize when ordering this bed that the fabric panels are hollow. Theyre essentially a piece of fabric wrapped around a metal frame. You can poke your finger into the fabric and dent it. The fabric is also not as attractive as I had hoped, it looks polyester. I kept it only because it was so darn heavy and we had waited quite a while for it to arrive. I figured returning it would be more of a hassle. My husband and I already have ideas on how to improve it when (not if) it fails. My son was sleeping with his mattress and box spring on the floor and this was to be step-one in his big-boy bedroom makeover. The drawers are very large, but the casters are cheap and the metal will bend if accidentally kicked or stepped on. I plan to line them with wood paneling to keep toys and items from falling under the bed where they would be hard to retrieve. When closing the drawers, you have to align them just right, and lift and wiggle to set the drawer into a little slot. Its hard to see black on black, so it takes a few tries. Eventually this will wear away the paint finish. The fixed panels and side drawers doesnt align all the way down the bed frame and look sloppy. Overall, it will do...but I really wish I knew more of these details before waiting for the order and hauling it into the house, opening the box, etc. What a pain.
