The manufacturer might want to take note of the phrase - Measure Twice, cut once.
I was quite disappointed given the largely positive reviews.. Difficult assembly required my own work and solutions to fix their clear mistakes. This came with holes drilled incorrectly. Completely impossible to assemble without finding workarounds.
The middle shelf is attached using wooden dowels. Unfortunately someone didnt measure correctly, and the holes were about a quarter inch too far apart (as shown in pic) on both sides of the shelf. Needless to say that wouldnt fit. I whittled down the dowels. Probably not the best for structural integrity.. but the low enough price makes it not worth the hassle of returning and finding something else.
For other pieces the drill holes seemed slightly off - not enough to be a major problem, but they definitely required some thought to figure out how to get it to work. I had to push together the sides at the top to be able to get the screws in on both sides (though to be fair it is possible my fix in the middle shelf may have caused this). the bottom wasnt a big challenge but the screws definitely were going in a bit sideways due to measurement issues.
I wouldnt trust this shelf to hold a lot of weight because of these issues.
That all said, if it had not been for those measurement issues it would have been an easy assembly and probably fairly sturdy for its size. Unfortunately it was not for me, but others seemed to have normal units.. It is a fairly nice color and finish for the price. If it were without the aforementioned issues, it would have been quite good for the pice. With them, Id sadly recommend something else.
