I have a small patio. If it is not quarantine, I wouldnt use it at all. We tried to explore more possibility at home and we move our lunch and diner into the patio. It is very sunny in Southern California. You definitely need a patio cover or the umbrella like this. This umbrella is huge! We have four people set of table in the yard. It can totally cover all of us and the square table. My baby start drawing in the yard to paint lots of different things under this umbrella. I dont what how it would be without it. Also, please notice there are more than one way to use it. You can open to half way to cover a small area or fully expand it to max out the coverage.
