Lost your remote? Easy fix if your bed is stuck in a weird position.
we have a classic brand base and I just want to say that I find it really funny that customer service doesnt know that there is a way to manually reset the bedto a flat position if the remote is lost. I also think its quite ridiculous that the only way to get a remote is if you have the piece of paper that stapled to the bottom of the base. Unfortunately for some of us we do have children and paper it gets ripped off things sometimes. There really should be a serial number that you can access that is permanent on the base. I got off the phone with customer service feeling like I was going to have to sleep in this weird position for the rest of my life until I could afford to get a new base. I am stubborn though and I decided that I was going to fix this even if it meant taking the entire thing apart. So I flipped a king size mattress and the base up which was very hard for me alone (im 52 and 120 lbs) and found out that there is a button on the motor and all you have to do is press it and the base goes back to flat. Unfortunately customer service told me that this was not a thing and that there was no way I was going to be able to get the bed back to flat without A remote. The same remote that they said that they could not order for me because I didnt have the number on the piece of paper they stapled to the bottom of the base. So future reference if youre going to need a replacement remote do you not lose that paper. Also there is a very easy way to set the bed back to flat if you have this issue its a tiny button on the side of the motor all you have to do is press it and it will reset. Im not sure if others have had the same issue but I wanted to make sure that nobody else felt like they had to sleep in some funky positionBecause customer service doesnt know how the product works.
