I was hoping for a linen/canvas material but its more of a pleather- It will do though. We put it in the mother in law suite in our home and it seemed to be easy to install. All of these sub- $300 dollar beds (Ive bought a few others for airbnbs) are maybe not as sturdy as anything solid wood, which is to be expected, but once theyre all assembled and theres a mattress on there, they seem to hold up just fine. Keep in mind, the slats are meant to be installed a hood distance apart so if you dont plan on using a box spring (we didnt) we had to install more slats, which was easy enough. Again, for the price, you really cant beat it. Pleather and all
