Sadly, the bed arrived with bent posts on headboard and footboard, along with several scratches. This was inside the box, so likely not done with shipping, but rather manufacturing. My husband and I had to very careful to try to bend and straighten out the decorative posts. They are very thin, hollow and delicate, so they are now permanently creased. It was too much work to try and ship this back and replacement parts are highly unlikely. I do not feel this bed is structurally strong and appears to be made of rather weak materials. Fortunately for us, it is for a five yr old who doesn't have much weight to him.
