Good quality for the money. Not real wood but it isnt hideous and the style matches my other furniture pretty well. Came packed in narrow box w/2 small pieces of styrofoam. Very easy to assemble; all holes in the right places. Lightweight / easy to pick up and move around. At first I wasnt too sure about stability but Ive got my scanner on it and it doesnt feel tippy at all, even though I have it situated an inch out from the wall.
I purchased it to add extra work space next to my desk. Since it has the extra bottom bar only at the back, you can put your legs under it. It would also make a nice eating area for extra company, or for kids. Or a spare mini/buffet table. Or a console in a small hallway or where ever you dont want bulky furniture.
I originally bought this for a specific project Im working on, thinking Id keep it only as long as I needed it (in my small living space I have to be kind of a minimalist). But now that Ive started using it, I can see its going to come in handy for a variety of uses. I really, really like it.
