Way short and the top fluffy arms are soft, not even tall enough for a kitten
It's adorable, and seems well made but it's useless as a cat scratcher. Neither cat interested even w/the catnip. Would not buy again and don't have the energy or the box to return it. It would probably be much better in the taller size so there would be enough of an area for either to reach up.
