It's firm but I like firm sofas. It's not hard as a rock. It has a bit of give. The dark grey is a bit light. Heather grey-ish. But I like it. It adds a bit of charm. Installation took all of 10 minutes. Seems sturdy enough. Will update if it starts wavering from normal wear.
