Misrepresented color, not perfectbut inexpensive and easy to assemble
PROS: Inexpensive, relatively easy to assemble by yourself (you might need someone/something to hold up some beams while you screw them in though), works with the Nod mattress, good for a petite woman.
CONS: The second half of the instructions arent very helpful, the measurements for the beams arent perfect, color () is horribly misleading, very lightweight and might not be suited for larger people.
Full Review:
In the listing looks like a nice neutral, warm brown that would go perfectly with my decor, however, the wood I received is straight up ORANGE. I absolutely HATE this color, but I have no way of returning the product and I have nothing to put my mattress on without it. If you are like me and hate orange/y / yellow/y wood, dont bother purchasing this bed frame. The color is nothing like how it is shown in the photos.
In terms of instructions and assembly, there are no words in the instructions so you have to rely entirely on the photos. The first part was easy to understand and assembly went quickly, but the instructions dont even bother to show you which screws to use for the second half. Still managed to put it together, but I dont know for sure if its correct. Hand tools were all I needed to put this together and it only took me like an hour to have the whole thing assembled. I did need someone to hold up a few parts while I screwed them in, but I was able to do this by myself for the most part.
One major thing I noticed is that some of the legs (the one in the photo is attached to the middle beam) dont sit entirely flat on the floor which is annoying when you shift in the bed and you hear them knock the floor a bit. Velcro boards also fall a little bit short as shown in the fourth photo. Might have my dad put a board down over top for extra support, but Im a petite woman so Im not too worried about it.
I bought the Nod by Tuft Needle mattress to go on top of this frame and it fits well. The corners of this frame do jut out quite sharply from the mattress and I am worried I might hit them, but its not a deal breaker.
All in all, if you are looking for any inexpensive wood bed frame, this is a decent choice. Just keep in mind that the second half of the instructions arent very helpful, the measurements for the beams arent perfect, and the color is horribly misleading. Ill keep this for now, but I might stain it a different color or just replace it all together when I move.
