Not hard to assemble, felt it was a good value for the money. That said, make sure everything is tight. Like most bunkbeds that are under $400, this one does have a little bit of wiggle to it. After tightening it, it got better. I can tell it wont last more than four or five years if I keep it as the bunkbed, only because my youngest 2 children will have outgrown a bunkbed by then.
