The instructions are not bad. If one is good at assembling thing then there s no big problem figuring out what to do. You can do it all with a screwdriver and a hammer. It s got the pegs and cams to hold it together tightly. The veneered mdf looks good.
The back is nailed on with small finishing nails provided. I couldn t gleen from the instructions whether the veneered side faced the front or back, but then looking from the front it was obvious that the veneer faces the front and the back is unfinished (because it goes against a wall, like most nightstands do).
I bought two. First one took me about 20 minutes to assemble. 2nd one about 10 minutes.
These are pretty decent
