My boyfriend and I put this upstairs in our living room and love it! The ceilings are attic style so we were looking for something large enough to hold our 55 inch TV but not extremely tall so it would fit and this worked out. You can use the flames without the heat.When we actually use the heat it warms the entire room pretty quickly. The heat blows straight out and nothing around it gets warm. Our dog is a fan too. He loves sleeping near it.
