Incredibly disappointed with quality cracks, stains, dents, faulty hardware
We got this for our son as we are upgrading from his toddler bed. We were incredibly excited about getting this set up for him.
The box arrived completely banged up to begin with, but after initial check for broken pieces or dinged up corners, it didnt look too bad.
However, then we started putting it together. First off they need to do a better job LABELING/SORTING the hardware to sync up with the instruction manual. Everything is just mixed together and you gotta pull out a tape measure/rule just to make sure you are getting the right screw.
But honestly, thats a minor complaint. Most of the slats and boards were individually wrapped and while our initial inspection found no busted up corners, about 50 of the boards had defects. Deep Scratches, dents, stains, you name it, they had it. I was considering just overlooking and painting the possibly, but as I noticed more and more defects as I progressed through putting together, my tolerance started to wane.
The last straw for me was defective hardware in the stair handrail parts, the female screw piece already embedded in the piece mustve been too small for the screw (all the other spots on the handrail worked fine). The screw got stuck and stripped for the Alan wrench, had to use a pliers to get it out. I said okay, maybe that screw was faulty. Tried another one, and now that one is stuck in the female screw part and I cant even get them separated. Im now stuck and cant get past this step as its a critical junction in the stair setup.
Ive left a voicemail with the customer service team, and depending on the response and resolution, maybe my review rating will change. But until then, incredibly disappointed in the quality of the product received. If I could, I would give this 0/5 right now so frustrating. Not worth
