Solid trundle with lots of slats.great for kids and rooms with limited space
This is a good, solid trundle bed, rolls easily, and has locking wheels. However it will slide on a wood or linoleum floor, even with wheels locked, so use caution, or put a rug under it. I put the 6 signature sleep coil mattress on it, and the mattress does not sit higher than the side rails. An 8 mattress, might sit higher, so keep that in mind if your day bed/upper bed is lower to the ground. We are using the trundle under an antique iron twin bed, for which my husband made some risers out of 4x4 wood blocks/in order to fit the trundle under the bed. I also like the side rails on this trundle, as they will keep a small child from rolling off the bed, as well as provide a handle for pulling the bed out. Other trundles I have seen on Craigslist or at discount furniture stores for 50 to 100 do not have these side rails. Additional note: I dont recommend the pop/up trundles (Ive had one before), as they can collapse, resulting in injury or at least a rude awakening. Its pretty though!
