What a beautiful chair. The material is velvety soft. Not very cushiony though and I wouldt say 300 pounds is the limit. More like 200 maybe. Its smaller than I thought it would be/not for prolonged sitting at all. The back is not very high either. Im 51 and the back comes maybe mid/back on me. But the chair is a beautiful accent piece to any decor. I have the green and its a sharp color. Very easy assembly takes about 15 minutes. I really like this chair! It is ok for the use.
